One of the few villas favorable amongst artists, poets and writers, Villa Carlotta serves as a harmonious place where nature and art live together. The gardens contain ancient sculptures and fountains, facing the peninsula of Bellagio. Despite its location between the lake and mountains, visitors find it a worthy place to see due to the artwork masterpieces displayed in the villa. Thanks to the owners of this villa, who were very passionate about botany and art, the gardens are gradually improved over time, showcasing a vast collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas which bloom profusely throughout Spring.
There is also a number of citrus plants, including those that are known by their Italian name, chinotto. For those coming here with families, picnic areas are provided so the visitors can enjoy their meals in the midst of fascinating views.
